Tegg's Scalping (A Beginning) is a graphite rubbing on Fabriano paper of a waste fragment (scalping) of gritstone from Tegg's Nose quarry situated to the east of Macclesfield, Cheshire, UK.
The piece is finished with black earth pigment and framed, unglazed, in pine and MDF - finished also in black earth pigment.
The work is signed on the back and also comes with a certificate of authenticity.
